The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Jordanian Date Association (JODA) and GrowTech, the Sustainable World for Software Technology

The sixth edition of the International Jordanian Date Festival witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Jordanian Date Association (JODA) and GrowTech, the Sustainable World for Software Technology. The agreement aims to provide periodic monitoring services, integrated management for palm farms, and detection of pests and diseases affecting palm trees. These services are performed through continuous periodic analyses conducted by GrowTech remotely without the need to visit the farm site.

These analyses rely on the latest advanced technologies using artificial intelligence and high-resolution satellite image analysis. Innovative indicators and algorithms developed by the GrowTech team are applied. Each farmer is provided with an electronic account on a smart platform, enabling them to access the analysis results for their farm in the form of a time series. This allows for comprehensive, accurate, and regular farm monitoring with ease, speed, and high flexibility, all while maintaining low costs.

GrowTech emphasized its commitment to client confidentiality and privacy policies, ensuring that their data is protected with the latest data protection technologies. The company is also ISO 9001 certified, reflecting its commitment to quality and international standards.

The analysis results were presented to specialists from the Jordanian Date Association for testing, ensuring accuracy, effectiveness, and alignment with field realities in the farms. The agreement also includes providing discounted services to members of the Jordanian Date Association.

The agreement was signed by Engineer Anwar Haddad, President of the Jordanian Date Association, and Ms. Abrar Al-Otaibi, CEO of GrowTech, in the presence of His Excellency the Jordanian Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Khaled Hneifat, and Dr. Abdul Wahhab Zayed, Secretary-General of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation.

Both parties stressed the importance of this cooperation in serving the Jordanian palm sector, highlighting the importance of leveraging technological advancements and integrating them into the agricultural industry to achieve greater sustainability and develop advanced agricultural practices.

The International Jordanian Date Festival is an annual event organized by the Jordanian Date Association under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, represented by His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Khaled Hneifat, and sponsored by the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation.
